About the MSP program

The HP Software & Solutions (HPSS) Managed Services Provider (MSP) program is an offering that authorizes the use of selected HPSS Products delivering participant branded Value-Added Services to the participant’s named end user customers. This page describes the requirements and benefits of the program.

There are multiple licensing models available within the program. Participants may deliver Value Added Services under one or more of the eligible licensing models while participating in the program. These licensing models are not mutually exclusive.

  • For mid to long range contract durations.
  • Capitalized purchase for reduced administration & improved ROI.
  • Perpetual licenses procured for use on behalf of a single dedicated Named End User.
  • A single instance of a perpetual license to manage a dedicated Named End User contract.
  • No reuse.
  • Transfer to Named End User permitted.
Multi-tenant
  • For providing services to multiple end customers concurrently
  • For use with a leveraged platform, or COE model.
  • Shared, hosted environment owned by the MSP.
  • A single configuration of a perpetual or term based license to support multiple end customers concurrently.
  • Reuse for multiple customers permitted.
  • No transfer.
Subscription/Utility
  • For short to mid range contract durations.
  • Incremental billing to align services revenues to expenses.
  • For ongoing relationships to provide services to a single end client.
  • Single instance of a term license to support a single Named End User engagement.
  • No reuse.
  • No transfer.
