Oracle's business is information—how to manage it, use it, share it, protect it.

Joint customers of HP and Oracle are empowered with a best-of-breed solution for managing their entire IT infrastructure from the network, systems, and database on the backend to web servers, ERP, CRM and storefront applications, and desktops at the frontend.
In addition, HP and Oracle have a strategic relationship based on HP's Adaptive Enterprise initiative and Oracle's grid computing initiative. Management solutions for the Adaptive Enterprise are required to achieve successful implementations of grid and to become an Adaptive Enterprise. HP OpenView's integration with Oracle's grid-enabled Enterprise Manager provides a key manageability solution for Oracle customers. You can now adaptively manage your entire IT infrastructure with best-of-breed solutions, including grid environments.
To further support management solutions for the Adaptive Enterprise, Oracle participates with HP and other strategic partners on the OASIS Technical Committee to help drive the Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) specification defining web services management, how to use web services architecture and technology to manage distributed resources, and developing the model of a web service as a manageable resource. (For names and descriptions of the WSDM specifications and related links, see an introduction to WSDM.)
