This Smart Link Integration creates a service subtree in the HP OpenView Operations for Windows® services map for Netpro DirectoryLockdown monitor nodes. The DL SLI also installs a policy group to let DirectoryLink inform OpenView when Active Directory-related events are detected by the DirectoryLockdown monitor running on the managed node.

DirectoryLockdown is a security solution for Windows 2000/2003 that monitors the Configuration and Schema NCs of Active Directory DCs for unauthorized modifications. Once a DirectoryLockdown Agent is loaded and registered with a DirectoryLockdown Monitor, DirectoryLockdown monitors and detects modifications made to replicas of the Configuration and Schema NCs and immediately notifies the appropriate personnel of any intrusion. DirectoryLockdown also prevents further damage to an enterprise by disabling the replication to and from the compromised DC and shutting the DC down completely.
