The Alcatel 5620 SAM Element Manager (SAM-E) provides graphical element management of the Alcatel 7750 Service Router and the Alcatel 7450 ESS. The Alcatel 5620 SAM-E can be used in stand-alone mode, or when management of service interworking of ATM, frame relay or Ethernet into an IP/MPLS environment is a requirement. For service interworking and migration, the Alcatel 5620 SAM-E module is seamlessly integrated as an optional software module into the Alcatel 5620 Network Manager (NM).
The Alcatel 5620 SAM Assurance (SAM-A) and Alcatel 5620 SAM Provisioning (SAM-P) modules provide enhanced service provisioning and assurance capabilities that maximize the operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning (OAM&P) functions available on the 7750 SR and 7450 ESS platforms. The Alcatel 5620 SAM-A and SAM-P make fault detection and proactive diagnosis easier, and simplify the introduction of Ethernet or IP services.
