An HP Software integrated productVoIP Probe for HP OpenView Internet Services helps Voice Service Operators and Internet Service Providers to determine the KPIs of their Voice over IP Service from the end-customer perspective.

On this pageProduct descriptionVoIP Probe provides testing and monitoring capabilities for Voice over IP and PSTN services in IP and PSTN networks. It gathers availability and performance data of VoIP Services by periodically establishing voice calls between VoIP subscribers and PSTN subscribers in any combination. Measurement results collected by VoIP Probe include availability, setup time, response time, ring time, call duration, hang-up time, CLI check result and for VoIP B tails jitter and packet loss. For VoIP to VoIP connections the delay is provided as well. Optionally the speech quality of the call can be estimated according to ITU-T standards by applying a PESQ (Perceptual estimation of speech quality) algorithm to the input and output audio files.
