Our online patent sale process starts with your identification of the patent lots you are looking to purchase from HP through the Patent Sales page. You can also join our approved broker program. As an HP-approved patent broker, you enjoy the benefit of a four-week advanced preview of upcoming lots prior to their public posting. This gives you time to analyze the lots and provide appropriate guidance to your clients.

See below for more details on our process:

1. HP-approved brokers have four weeks to make an offer. 2. If brokers do not make an offer on a lot, it is then made available to the public for seven weeks. 3. HP chooses the best offer and negotiates with bidder.

If a lot receives no offers during the four weeks Broker Advanced Preview period, it is then made available for public offer.
